AFRICAN MUSIC by Samuel Korantneg Pipim

Noise pollution sometimes masquerades as edifying music. Is this a special contribution of Christians to the society? At no point in time has there been such a prevalence of assault of the eardrums as now exists in most African countries today. One Sunday morning, when my son was little, I took him with me to a particular church where I had been invited to speak. In response to the relentless assault of the “praise music,” he drew closer to me, and with tears in his voice he whispered: “Daddy, my ear hurts & my head aches.” So much for the contribution of Christians to society—hurting ears and aching heads!
